详细说明： 1) On which OS does this map server run? - The map server is java based. It should run on any platform supporting java 1.4.x or 1.5.x, It was tested on SunOs/Linux/Windows XP. 2) How to use the map server? - They are two ways of using it: a) the most common is to install it inside a web server as a servlet. It was tested in Tomcat and apache. b) it is also possible to instantiate the 'MapProducer' class directly inside a java application, then to process an openGis request by passing the request string inside a 'ClientRequest'. After the processing, the 'ClientRequest' will contain the reply: an image or a capabilities/feature information. 3) Which projections are supported? - 2 cases: a) layer data is stored in platte-carre: reprojection can be done in orthographic(SRS=AUTO:42003,9001,). Of course platte-carre (SRS=EPSG:4326) is supported. b) layer data is stored in whatever projection: the server can serve this layer ONLY with the SAME PROJECTION. 4) Which format is supported for the GIS data? - The layers image tile(s) should be stored in raster format, not compressed. 1/2/3 bytes per pixel with or without a colorMap. - Vector data can be stored in flat files: lines or points. - shapefile is supported, but is not very well tested. The data in the shapefile sould be in platte-carre projection. The name of the datafile specified in the 'layer.conf' should END WITH .dbf. - No database support at this time, simpleMapServer was made to be simple... - There is a way of getting vector data from a custom source by creating a class which extends the 'DataRetrieverInterface' interface. ...展开收缩
