详细说明： Bill Williams is the manager of the Cisco Storage Operations Team, where he focuses on storage TCO, metrics, and operational efficiencies. Bill joined Cisco Systems, Inc. in 1998 as an ERP systems administrator. In January, 2002, Bill moved to the Virtual Storag e Team at Cisco, where he was integral in creating a dedicated Enterprise Storage Systems Team within Cisco IT. In May 2003, the Enterprise Storage Systems Team won the Cisco CIO Award. In October, 2002, Bill began studying the TCO for storage at Cisco, and the following year he began a consolidation project to lower storage TCO at Cisco. As the program manager for the Network Storage Virtual Team from 2003 to 2004, Bill guided the implementation of SAN storage and infrastructure in Cisco datacenters around the globe. Bill holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Bill also holds a master's degree from Harvard Divinity School. Bill lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with his wife Lia and their daughter Isabel. The primary goal of this book is to provide in one resource a general guideline to both storage networking technologies and the financial metrics used for measuring the impact of storage networks on a company's bottom line. As end users struggle to understand how businesses are impacted by the myriad of new government regulations, they are simultaneously bombarded with discussions of new products and concepts designed to help them better manage storage.
